How to Replace Heating Element in Samsung Dryer
The heating element comprises a large set of coils inside a metal housing. Remove and replace the faulty heating element by unscrewing the Samsung dryer.
1. Loosen All the Screws
Hold the Samsung dryer and Slide it away from the wall.
Switch off the power supply and disconnect the power cord and the dryer vent.
After that, loosen the screws of the band clamp on the vent hose with the help of a screwdriver.
2. Slide the Top Cover Off
Go to the dryer backside and remove the two screws with a screwdriver. Slide off the dryer’s top cover and place it on the safe side.
3. Remove the front knob from the control panel
To remove it, first, remove the top cover from the control panel.
Unscrew the two guide screws with a screwdriver.
Look for a guide panel, locate it and remove the six clips present.
Look for two wires that connect the dryer to the panel and disconnect them.
After disconnecting, remove the front knob from the control panel.
Take it and place it on the safe side.
4. Remove the filter
To remove the filter, open the front door to the dryer and place it off to the side.
Remove the two screws in the front of the dryer control panel and four screws from the front plate and control panel.
Now Lift the front panel and keep it aside.
5. Remove Heater Terminals
There will be six heating terminals, and you need to remove all of them.
6. Locating Heating Element
After removing the terminals, unscrew the mounting screw that lies on the backside of the heating element.
7. Replacing Heating Element
After unscrewing, remove the faulty heating element from the drum.
Unscrew the thermostat and hold it in place.
At the same time, remove the faulty element.
Place the new heating element and secure the thermostat in it.
Screw back all the screws to default.
8. Placing the Replaced Element
Take the element and place it back into the drum.
Screw up the opening back to default.
9. Securing the Screws Back To Default
Screw the openings and Place the front plate back into its place.
After that, screw up the plate to the dryer’s panel and the drum.
10. Reconnect the Cables and Vent
After securing all the parts, reconnect the plugs and switches back into place with the help of clips.
Take the top cover and place it on the dryer and screw the two screws previously unscrewed.
In the end, Reconnect the dryer vent and place the dryer back to its location.
