Lava lamps are fluid motion lamps that are composed of a dual mixture of oil and water.

Turn off the lamp immediately after it shaking

Now open the lid of the lamp and pour out all the fluid present in it. Now pour the fresh cooled distilled water and again pour it out.

Repeat the procedure 2 to 3 times until all the previous mixture is poured out.
Then again, add fresh and distilled water and turn the lamp on to produce heat. But make sure that you leave the 2-inch air gap that allows the expansion of wax.
When the lamp is getting heated up, then make a saline solution in the microwave by adding the salt to the distilled water.
Try not to use table salt. Transfer this solution to the lamp drop-wise without shaking or stirring the mixture.
Now, add a drop of dishwashing cleaner and a few drops of your favorite food color that will match the wax. After all these steps, screw off the lid. Your lava lamp is transfigured.
