  • Pliers
  • Adjustable wrench
  • Soft Cloth Or Soft towel
  • Allen wrench

Step-1) Turn off the Water Supply

The first step is to shut off the water supply that is providing water to your kitchen. You can locate the water valve under your kitchen faucet or your toilet’s tank.

You just have to simply turn the valves in a clockwise direction until it is properly closed, and you are not able to push up any more force.

And if you are failing in locating the water valve around your kitchen gadget that you are trying to lose nuts from, then locate your main water supply valve somewhere in your garage or basement and turn it off to completely stop the water supply.

Step-2) Place a soft towel or a piece of Cloth

After shutting off the valve completely, there are most likely so many chances that there could be water left in the pipes, and it can start leaking while the removal process.

Place a towel down so that if any other part drops so, it can get lost easily, and water can start leaking. To prevent yourself from any mess. The towel will help you do the job.

Step-3)  Gripping the Nut

Use an adjustable wrench to grip the nut and simply move it in a clockwise direction to loosen it.

But if your nut is locked and stuck, then start applying pressure slowly and then increase your pressure gradually while moving it in a counter-clockwise direction.

If your nut is asking for an extra amount of force to open it, then skip this step and move to the next.

Step-4) Using A Plumber’s Greece

if the above step is not working then this means that your nut is stuck and to remove it you have to put up a plumber’s grease.

This is going to be an ideal way to remove a stuck nut because a plumber’s Greece works like magic for stuck nuts.

Apply plumber’s Greece on the nut to show its magic and let it rest on the nut for about 15 to 20 minutes for the best results.

After a few minutes, try to remove it by using a wrench or pliers, and even you can use your hands to remove it because Greece works this much magically.

Step-5) Heating a Stuck Nut

To lubricate the nut that is stubborn enough to loosen up easily, use a damp hot rug to remove it, and to do this step, you have to arrange a damp hot rug and wrench that fits the job.

Put the towel in a hot water for a few minutes and wait for it so that it can get saturated. after dumping it properly now place it around the nut and wrap your nut with the hot damped wet towel for a few minutes.

This will simply heat up the nut and after heating up your nut, use an adjustable wrench or plier to remove it by turning it in a clockwise direction.

Step-6) Using Angle Grinder Technique

  • Angle grinder
  • Safety Plumbing glasses
  • Pair of Gloves
  • Flathead screwdriver

by taking enough precautionary measures, start cutting through the plastic cut carefully so that it cant cut in a deeper way.

When you are done cutting then push the end using a screwdriver.

Step-6) Unscrewing the Nut

Use your hands to grip the nut with your thumb and fingers and move it all the way in the counter-clockwise direction until it reaches its end and leaves the thread.
